Job Req Number: 91081 Time Type: Full Time **About the role** As Customs Assistant, you will be an interface between Product Operations, Customs Authorities, and Financial Authorities (for VAT correspondence). Processing of customs related documentation to our customers in a timely and accurate manner following the related country regulations. **Your responsibilities will include**: - Observance and adherence of the Customs / VAT / State and EU law / Regulations. - Basically active correspondence with Customs - and VAT Authorities; circumstantial correspondence with all other state institutions if required (i.e. Veterinary Auth.). - Observance & Adherence to Customs, VAT, AEO, DAC, State, and EU laws & regulations. - Classifying commodities into the “harmonized system TARIC". - Apply, maintain, close all DSV & Customer related VAT Nr whenever required/necessary. - Check-up of all shipment related specific data and documentation and ensure especially the document flow for returning validated customs declarations to internal departments and clients. - Creates INTRASTAT Messages, Customs declarations, VAT declaration, and process direct or indirect Fiscal representation via the different system and whenever required/necessary. **Are you the perfect fit?** - You have already a few years of experience within Customs. - Training as "Déclarant en douane" Customs & legal background. - Knowledge in LUCSS system. - Very good knowledge of ENG (FR & DE are a plus). - Ability to clearly and concisely present both written and/or oral information. - Hands-on mentality.
