Quality Inspection

Industrial Services & Spare Parts covers 10% of this spend being present in 5 countries (Spain, Germany, France, Poland, Belgium).

As part of European Procurement Organization, we are looking for a **Quality Inspector **for Best Value Countries.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Make technical inspection of the parts / installations that are produced with the suppliers in China. Depending on the part and on the supplier inspections are needed during the manufacturing process or only needed at the end. (= main responsibility)
- Give technical support to the suppliers based on the needs from the AM plants.
- Make the technical link between users and suppliers in term of clarification of specifications, inspection of characteristics, manufacturing processes, final quality inspection
- Together with the buying team in China develop a high quality Chinese supplier panel (including discovering new suppliers).
- Analyze potential business for Chinese suppliers together with the end users and local buyers / lead buyers
- Audit suppliers on their capabilities
- to reach the qualitative needs and specifications requested by the plants
- to produce specific parts
- make an evaluation report related to the audit and to potential future business
- Assist Lead Buyer and buyers in China for their analyses to report savings and subcategory KPI targets:

- Supplier spend data analysis and basic financial analyses
- Performance reporting on quality, price level
- Supplier profile
- Assist Lead buyers and buyers in China in the lead time follow up of the suppliers
- Participate in transversal working groups and projects

**Your profile**

You have a Master degree in mechanical engineering with significant experience in steel making. Welding and painting know how is mandatory.

You have a Successful track record in mechanical engineering and you know the main suppliers panels for mechanical products.

You have a well-developed commercial feeling.

You are quality minded understanding the needs of the AM plants

You are a certified welding engineer and painting engineer or equivalent by experience. You know the related norms. (ISO, EN)

With a technical background you have Mechanical competences and thus, you are able to discuss on technical topics with users and to technically evaluate different supplier proposals

Your English is at a proficient level

You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for finding information on innovative industry trends and for market analysis.

Result and Customer oriented, you are able to work under deadline pressure and to manage the change

You are open minded to discover new cultures

On top English. Any additional European language is appreciated.
