**Academic Support Assistant (ASA) - Secondary School**
Permanent role, Part Time 24 hours/week
Required for September 2025
**Job Purpose**:
Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in students' lives? We are seeking a dedicated Secondary School Academic Support Assistant (ASA) to join our team. This role is pivotal in helping selected students fully engage with and benefit from the curriculum. If you have the skills and experience to support students, collaborate with teachers, and contribute to the overall school environment, we would love to hear from you
**As an Academic Support Assistant, you will**:
- Assist Students: Use specialist skills to help students engage with lessons.
- IEPs: Develop and implement tailored Individual Education Plans.
- Track Progress: Monitor and evaluate students' learning responses.
- Promote Inclusion: Encourage acceptance and participation in activities.
- Foster Independence: Help students become self-reliant and confident.
- Support Teachers: Collaborate to create a positive learning environment.
- Small Group Sessions: Conduct focused support for small groups.
- Resource Management: Prepare and maintain educational resources.
- Parent Meetings: Discuss student progress with parents.
