**Job Description**:
Our client is a large international, multi-award winning financial services group. They are known for their investment into people and for continually providing clients with innovative products and services, remaining resilient and robust.

Due to growth, they seek an experienced finance lead to work at the group level, acting as a trusted advisor to various business lines in all aspects of finance and commercial aspects. You will form part of a wider leadership team and lead a small local team of financial analysts who will support you in your role. The business is agile and streaks ahead of their competitors so it is an excellent time to join the business in a peak innovation period.

This is not an operational finance role. Your career path will show a more commercial path underpinned by accounting/finance as you will need to have a good understanding of the numbers. You will use this experience to ensure that group strategy is achieved by driving specific transformation projects and supporting various business lines. Transformation projects could include business process engineering digitilization and automation for example, or analysing existing / new products and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Use management information to make sound commercial and financial planning decisions and recommendations relating to various business lines
- Deliver business and finance analyses in a “Business Friendly” style to the wider leadership team
- Provide support to the business lines in the preparation of their budgets and forecasts
- Have a continual improvement mindset and approach to areas of business optimisation
- Lead special projects with the wider team (onboarding a new business line, or an ERP implementation, for example)
- A finance background with 10+ years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience working in financial services and business advisory in a complex, matrix organisation with multiple business lines, ideally at group level
- Proven Financial Planning and Analysis experience
- A formal finance qualification is strongly desired (ACCA/ACA or similar)
- Experience leading a team
- Fluent in English, with an additional European language advantageous
