Our client is an Alternative Administrative Agent with a strong presence in the US. The company in Luxembourg is licensed by the CSSF as a specialised professional of the financial sector ("PFS") and delivers services in Corporate and Fund Administration to Alternative Investment Fund. For this position, your responsibilities and tasks will be as follows: Provide leadership and management of the depositary function, ensuring it operates efficiently, economically, and compliantly, whilst managing risk, through a continuous focus on enhancements to operating model, processes, procedures, and people Always ensure depositary services are delivered in compliance with Luxembourg Laws and Regulations, and with relevant internal policies Engage in strategic change initiatives and tactical enhancements to the depositary function, ensuring a high standard of service delivery to meet the evolving regulatory environment and client demands Contribute to the Company strategic, regulatory, and business performance as a permanent member of Client Acceptance Committee and other internal ad hoc Committees Primary liaison with CSSF for all depositary matters, maintaining a professional and trusted relationship with the CSSF Responsible for managing regulatory inspections, together with external and internal audit reviews Monitor for changes to relevant laws and regulations applicable to Luxembourg depositary, analyse such changes on a timely basis and advise relevant management committees of implications for the Company in Luxembourg. Oversee the implementation of such change on a timely basis and consistent with best market practice Perform/ review initial and ongoing due diligence on and monitoring of AIFMs, Central Administrators and other relevant third parties, including those within the Company, contracted to perform certain tasks in support of the depositary function under an outsourcing arrangement. Ensure such services are provided in accordance with the CSSF's approved operating models Provide professional and trusted advice to clients with respect to requests and enquiries relating to depositary services Engage with and support the sales/new business functions in securing new mandates, by representing the depositary function as part of such sales/prospecting processes Upon request, attend board meetings of the AIFs for which depositary services are provided Participate to the fund industry working groups and remain networked with the industry to ensure Company remains consistent with the depositary industry best practice Manage the depositary team **The skills required for this position**: Minimum 10 years of experience in financial sector, with experience in the Depositary services/custody function An in-depth knowledge of Luxembourg laws and regulations, along with relevant ESMA and EU Directives, guidelines, and other relevant matters Proven experience in building a trusted relationship at senior levels Evidence experiences in managing regulatory change projects Evidence an ability to manage delegate / outsourced service providers on an arms-length basis, irrespective of internal company hierarchy considerations Fluent in English Confidence in presenting to the clients' boards, CFO's and to senior management Proven leadership style in managing teams of professionals Ability to coach, mentor and develop people The company is very aware of health & wellbeing.
