A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance professional to join an exciting, dynamic team within Macquarie’s Financial Management Group. As part of the team responsible for financial control, you will play a key role as a financial advisor for the Macquarie Asset Management division in Luxembourg. Acting as a Finance Manager for Macquarie Asset Management’s legal entities in Luxembourg, you will be responsible for driving effective legal entity management within the financial control function. You will be part of the wider Macquarie Asset Management EMEA Financial Management Group team. As part of this role, you will work with key stakeholders on a regular basis such as the CFO and heads of Financial Control for this business, Division heads of the various Asset Management businesses, regional CFO and Financial Controller as well as external auditors. **Your key responsibilities will include**: - Assisting with the implementation of the financial control framework including overseeing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet and ensuring bookings are reflected under the correct accounting standards (Lux GAAP). - Issue resolution and query management from the business & other colleagues from the financial management group - Understanding how the business flows impact the financial statements. - Regular liaison with other areas of the Financial Management Group (Group Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, VAT and Treasury) - Close interaction with offshore Finance teams, fund accountants and legal entity control team to ensure correct accounting treatment. - Undertaking and delivering ad hoc projects, improvement initiatives and standardization approaches - reviewing financial statements under Lux GAAP and supporting them with well-developed analytical reviews for Group entities - reviewing Luxembourg regulatory reporting - having financial oversight and governance for finance related activities for the Luxembourg entities including dealing with external auditors **We want to hear from you if you have**: - Postgraduate accounting qualification, preferably ACCA /ACA/CPA - +6 years’ experience in Financial Accounting/financial control/external audit - Strong oral and written communication skills - Has good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Prior experience in dealing with various stakeholders in different locations. You will be a successful self-starter with strong control mind set and the ability to demonstrate capability and willingness to be "hands-on”.
