Join us at the cutting edge of Amazon's sustainability initiatives to work on emerging sustainability data and reporting requirements and support Amazon's long term worldwide sustainability strategy. At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) team capitalizes on Amazon’s scale, speed, and ability to invent and simplify to create a better and more resilient company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and we drive solutions that enable our customers and our business to become more sustainable.

The WWS team is seeking an experienced, self-starting Principal Product Manager to play a leading role in building a world-class sustainability data and reporting infrastructure.

Key job responsibilities
- Responsible for defining the Voice of the Customer (VoC) need (e.g., what problem are we solving; how is what we want different from existing products; where can we invent and simplify; performing competitor analyses; working with stakeholders to identify integrated product solutions).
- Build the product vision via PR/FAQ that focuses on innovative ways to address a complex and evolving regulatory environment; defines functional, regional, legal, compliance and other business requirements; and collaborate with user experience (UX) on mock-ups.
- Own tradeoff decisions and guide the engineering and UX design teams on the right CX design choices.
- Be involved in product launch/release. As the Single Threaded Leader (STL)/Product Manager, you will drive strategic product communications (e.g. decision narratives, investment proposals) internally/externally; proactively identify gaps and opportunities; and handle critical escalations.
- Own customer/stakeholder engagement for major product issues and design product value propositions for large audiences (e.g., PR, Marketing, Sales).

This role requires up to 25% travel.

A day in the life

The Principle PM will work with our internal customers in legal, tax, accounting and sustainability to derive customer requirements, document them and work with tech teams on product delivery.

They will own release planning, training, feedback collection and version management for a suite of products that will enable Amazon to comply to the highest standards of ESG disclosures.
