Building Technical Specialist

**Your role**:
As a member of the central maintenance team (back-office maintenance), you will optimize and professionalize the operational maintenance activity (front-office) for all building techniques such as HVAC, electricity, fluids and gas, plumbing, joinery, regulation/automation and safety and security installations (e.g. fire detection, access control, intruder detection, CCTV surveillance,).

You will work in a professional environment with high technological and regulatory requirements, such as BSL1/BSL2 laboratories, clean rooms and animal houses.

The objectives to be achieved in the field of maintenance are part of a continuous improvement process to which you actively contribute, such as: maintenance development strategy with a long-term vision, overall performance through KPIs and dashboards, making installations more reliable, future investment requirements, establishing operating standards.
- You will be fully involved in the implementation of major organizational and technical improvement objectives such as:_
- Implement and develop a CMMS
- Continue to deploy the Hyper vision system for monitoring technical installations
- Develop a business continuity plan, assessing the risks of technical failures and their impact on operations
- Improve and ensure the reliability of the technical installations
- Improve the transition from Build mode (Projects) to Run mode (Operations)
- Analyze maintenance data through statistics and reporting, develop KPIs and set up regular efficiency monitoring
- Develop internal and external maintenance audits to ensure the performance of service technical teams/providers in line with contractual performance obligations.
- Optimize the maintenance contracts
- Draw up calls for tender (e.g. technical specifications, special requirements for service providers, SLA)
- Manage various tools, software and databases required to monitor maintenance activity
- Draw up and formalize processes, standards and methods
- Energy management, sustainable development and attention to safety are also an integral part of your mission
- Satisfying the University's staff as internal customers remains the common thread running through your business

**Your profile**:

- Skills and Experience:_
- Diploma:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a specialization in one of the following areas: technical or industrial engineering in relevant fields such as HVAC, electrical systems, or control systems
- Experience:

- At least 5 years of proven experience in building maintenance or assimilated activities where you can demonstrate technical expertise in one or more of the relevant fields. Ideally in a multi-site or complex organization including laboratory areas
- Experience in the development and use of a CMMS, CTM or hypervision system is an important asset
- Drafting of tender documents (technical sections) in relevant fields such as HVAC, electricity, regulation systems
- Hard skills:

- Knowledge, usage of CAD, ticketing software is an advantage

- Initiative, autonomy

- Languages:

- French (C1 - independent)
- English (B2 - advanced; required for meetings and internal customers)
