Zettle was acquired by PayPal back in 2018 and has been going through an integration journey during the last three to four years. Zettle Controllership has played a key part in this integration in system implementations, process developments and building an integrated team. To keep driving the business and following the local regulations and requirements, the Zettle Controllership team is looking for a General Accountant to strengthen up the team. As a general accountant, you will support the Controllers in the team and work across with the different Zettle products. You will be responsible for making sure that month end tasks, such as journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and are done in a timely manner and are compliant. You will also support the financial analysis for the month end close. You will be involved in projects for automation and work with cross functional teams collaborate in different projects and processes in accounting. Zettle by PayPal markets are Europe, US and LatAm and the role collaborates with stakeholders from across the globe.

**Primary Job Responsibilities**:

- Ensure, prepare and finalize the monthly closing process according to set deadlines in the closing calendar
- Prepare and record journal entries on a daily basis
- Create and review monthly reconciliations, ensuring they are accurate, informative and following set policy
- Support in audit tasks; preparing and sharing support with external auditors and walking through processes
- Develop and ensure that sustainable processes and controls are put in place for your area

**About You**:

- 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Excellent in business English, oral and writing skills
- Experience with audit procedures and compliance requirements
- Experience with month end close processes, such as accruals and reconciliations.
- Develop new ideas and help make processes more efficient and transparent.
- Like fast-paced environments
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record to manage multiple tasks to completion
- Detail oriented, customer-focused, and have a reputation for getting things done

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Work in similar accounting role 2-3 year
- Have been responsible for tasks in month end close process
- Accustomed to working autonomously
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office software tools, especially advanced MS excel skills
- Extensive use of SAP & SAP BW is an advantage
