**Job Description**:
We are partnering with a human-sized, established and independently owned fund services provider to recruit a Fund Accounting Manager to continue in developing the team, strengthening client relationships and contributing to the success of the business.

You will have autonomy in your role, while working closely with the Head of Fund Services. The company is stable, has a positive environment, being a small, close-knit team, encouraging everyone to make suggestions and give ideas. This award winning business has a number of US clients with European interests and there is a lot of activity in the funds creating interesting and stimulating work.

You will have oversight of a portfolio of Private Equity / Funds of Funds / Real Estate clients and demonstrate a good understanding of Private Markets fund structures. Your ability to coach and lead will be critical to the success of the role.

Your role:

- Lead and develop the Fund Accounting Team, acting as an escalation point for complex matters
- Be the main point of contact for a number of clients
- Take responsibility for driving operational change and process improvements
- Potentially take director positions on client companies/funds’ boards
- High level review the fund accounting teams’ NAV production
- Coordinate operations with the Corporate Secretary and Transfer Agent Department
- Provide operational support for the setup of new structures including working with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with complex client transactions
- Get involved with helping colleagues on tax filings, annual accounts, audit reports, regulatory reporting requirements etc
- Liaise with various internal and external parties, ensure the smooth running of the department and be a senior member of the organisation

The position is both ‘high level’ and ‘hands on’, so will suit someone who enjoys both elements and is not too removed from Operations.

Skills and experience should include:

- University degree in Finance
- 10+ years of fund accounting experience
- Strong accounting skills and technical accounting knowledge (Lux GAAP, with IFRS as a plus)
- In-depth experience with NAV calculation for alternative investment funds
- Fluent English language skills are required, with a preference to speak another European language as well
- Proven management success with influencing and negotiating skills, the ability to motivate and build high performing teams
- The ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in the company and to motivate others via your actions.
