Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, in-depth understanding of Luxembourg accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements, proven management experience is a plus. You will play a key role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare, review, and approve annual and periodic financial statements in accordance with Lux GAAP and IFRS (as applicable).
• Ensure full compliance with Luxembourg tax laws, CSSF regulations, and relevant industry requirements.
• Coordinate and manage statutory audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of local and international clients, ensuring smooth onboarding, high-quality service delivery and long-term relationship building.
• Proactively coordinate with clients to understand their business needs, provide tailored accounting insights, and anticipate upcoming regulatory or reporting requirements.
• Manage communication with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, banks, and regulatory authorities, ensuring timely exchange of information and seamless collaboration.

Advisory & Strategic Support

• Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues, tax structuring, and regulatory changes.
• Support management in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial planning.
• Participate in process-improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality of reporting.

Management & Leadership

• Supervise and mentor a team of accountants; provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure consistent application of internal controls.
• Manage workflows and allocate tasks to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting& tax in Luxembourg.
• Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP, IFRS, and Luxembourg tax and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management experience.
• High ownership and ability to build processes in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., BOB50, SAP, or similar).
• Strong communication skills in English and French
• Experience supervising teams is a plus
