RSM Financial Services Luxembourg is a regulated CSSF PSF providing central administration and transfer agency services to Alternative Investment Funds, with a strong focus on Private Equity and Real Estate funds.

RSM Financial Services Luxembourg is currently looking for a dynamic person with the following profile.

Senior Accountant – Reporting and Fund Administration

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting team for our clients active in Private Equity or Real Estate. Working closely with your colleagues from the accounting team and directly with the clients, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of annual accounts and periodic reporting:
• Record of journal entries and maintain proper accounting (from A to Z) for PE/RE funds and SPVs
• Calculation of Net Asset Value of funds and SOPARFI.
• Preparation of quarterly reporting and annual accounts under Lux GAAP
• Preparation of Luxembourg VAT returns (annual returns)
• Assistance in preparation of Tax Return
• Preparation of regulatory reporting from CSSF and BCL
• Make sure all transactions (bank, investments, capital calls, etc) are supported by documentation
• Review and assistance:
• Review of accounting prepared by juniors and other seniors
• Review of annual accounts
• Assistance in the preparation of financial statements for audit purposes and participation to meetings with auditors
• Train the junior members of the team when necessary
• Administrative knowledge and follow-up:
• Follow-up of administration tasks / payments / requests from clients / account's approval
• Follow-up of accounting delivery to deliver on due time
• Organisation, maintenance and filing of documentation
• Complete knowledge on the clients' business
• Liaising with Client Representatives and Other Parties:
• Collaborate with our client advisors and the managers in order to ensure high quality standard
• Preparation of necessary documents and participation in discussions to address accounting queries
• Liaise with different stakeholders (auditor, custodian, AIFM, depositary, transfer agent, client relationship)
• Daily communication with clients
• Participation in board's meeting

Your profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role or with audit background
• Accountancy and business administration qualification
• Experience in Lux GAAP accounting for Private Equity/Real Estate funds, Holding Companies, SPVs etc. in Luxembourg
• Knowledge of additional accounting standards and principals (IFRS, US GAAP) is an advantage
• Excellent command of English and French, with good knowledge of German or Luxembourgish considered an additional asset
• Analytical mind with strong sense of providing high quality output, curiosity, rigor, organization and proactivity
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge of Word, Excel, BOB 50, Trax (advantage)
• Knowledge in reporting (CSSF, BCL)
• Knowledge in liquidation, client onboarding and incorporation is an advantage
