About the Role

As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial life cycle of investment funds. In addition to owning accounting, reporting, and regulatory deliverables, you will support the Head of Operations in overseeing day-to-day team activities, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely execution.

This role combines technical expertise, operational oversight, and people coordination, acting as a senior reference point within the team and a trusted contact for clients and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of periodic and annual financial closings, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.
  • Lead and contribute to the Net Asset Value (NAV) production process, including reviews, controls, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review Luxembourg tax filings, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT returns, and subscription tax.
  • Act as a primary contact for auditors, tax authorities, and clients, responding to queries and coordinating deliverables efficiently.
  • Maintain and oversee investor registers, capital accounts, and capital call/distribution tracking.
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting processes (CSSF, AIFMD, BCL), ensuring compliance with local requirements.
  • Support the Head of Operations in monitoring team workloads, deadlines, and deliverable quality, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Review the work of junior and intermediate team members, providing guidance, feedback, and technical support when needed.
  • Act as a go-to person for complex accounting or operational questions within the team.
  • Participate in process improvements, documentation, and the strengthening of internal controls.
  • Ensure high-quality client service by understanding expectations and ensuring consistent follow-up.
Your Profile
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the fund industry (fund administrator, management company, AIFM, or audit firm).
  • Strong hands-on experience with NAV calculations, fund accounting, and Luxembourg GAAP.
  • First experience in reviewing work or coordinating junior team members is a strong asset.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); French or another language is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured, methodical approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team coordination and knowledge sharing.
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable operating as a senior point of reference.
