Context: 

Modern software development relies heavily on CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality, fast, and reliable delivery. However, functional testing, quality assurance, and documentation updates often require significant manual effort, slowing down the lifecycle.

With the adoption of AI, pipelines can be improved by automating functional testing, detecting documentation gaps, and maintaining high-quality knowledge transfer with minimal manual intervention. This internship will focus on enhancing the software development lifecycle with AI-driven automation.

Topic:

The aim of this project is to design and implement AI components to augment the CI/CD pipeline, specifically:

• Automating functional testing with AI-based test generation and execution.

• Identifying documentation gaps based on code changes and feature releases.

• Improving overall pipeline efficiency and reducing manual overhead.

What you'll be doing:

During this internship, you will acquire knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:

• Analyze existing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

• Integrate AI-assisted functional testing (generate test cases, validate outputs, detect anomalies).

• Automate test reporting and defect detection using AI/ML techniques.

• Implement tools to compare code changes vs. documentation, detecting missing or outdated sections.

• Develop metrics for pipeline efficiency and test coverage improvement.

You will be part of the "Software  Development" team, collaborating with engineers and specialists working on automation and AI initiatives. A senior engineer and the team leader will provide guidance on methodology, technical direction, and milestones. You will also have the opportunity to join team discussions and activities, gaining exposure to how AI is applied in a professional setting and addressing real-world challenges in knowledge management.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

• Currently in the final year of a Master's degree (or equivalent).

• Strong interest in CI/CD, DevOps, and software quality assurance.

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

• Programming experience in for pipeline automation.

• Understanding of AI/ML frameworks for test generation and anomaly detection.

• Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with ability to work independently and in teams.
