The open position, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), contributes to a broad range of activities under the responsibility of the CEO.
Missions
As a member of the Executive Committee, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) plays a key strategic role in defining and executing OneLife's commercial strategy in alignment with the company's overall vision and growth ambitions.
The CCO is responsible for driving sustainable business growth across all targeted markets, developing innovative product-market strategies, and ensuring strong commercial performance at both local and international levels.
The role combines strategic leadership, international sales management, market development, and regulatory-aware distribution strategy execution.
Main objectives of the role
The Chief Commercial Officer(CCO) Will, In Particular
- Define, implement and continuously refine the commercial and distribution strategy in line with OneLife's global strategy and regulatory environment;
- Lead and supervise both the Luxembourg-based sales teams and international sales teams across multiple countries (among others France, Spain), including sales organisation, performance management, and compensation or commission structures;
- Lead and supervise the different consultants active internationally (among others Belgium, Portugal or Scandinavian countries), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives;
- Become the person responsible for Distribution towards the Commissariat aux Assurances
- Ensure effective, efficient and compliant collaboration between sales teams and OneLife headquarters;
- Design and implement a compliant, market-adapted distribution strategy for each targeted market and customer segment;
- Drive the achievement of all sales and portfolio objectives (gross sales, portfolio development, net inflows);
- Analyse business performance, competitors and market trends (existing and new markets), and translate insights into actionable growth strategies;
- Provide the Executive Committee with high-quality management information, including business planning, performance, business plans and market intelligence;
- Contribute to the definition of the Group budget, manage the commercial department budget, and ensure optimal resource allocation;
- Actively contribute to the definition and execution of OneLife's corporate strategy, in line with Executive Committee governance and decision-making processes;
- Act as a role model for OneLife's values, leadership principles, ethics, and performance culture across the organisation;
- Promote strong internal communication, employer branding and product advocacy;
- Ensure that all commercial activities are conducted in a fully ethical, transparent and compliant manner with customers, regulators and business partners;
- Contribute to the external reputation and visibility of OneLife and the APICIL Group across international markets.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial, sales or business development leadership within financial services (insurance, asset management, banking or related sectors);
- Ability to demonstrate past commercial development in an international financial industry
- Ability to be recognized as key player by international financial institutions as well as by more local insurance distributors (brokers, CGPI)
- At least 5 years of proven experience in people management, ideally in an international environment;
- Strong ability to operate at Executive Committee level, with a clear understanding of Board and corporate governance responsibilities;

- Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills;
Strong strategic mindset combined with a hands-on execution capability;
Ability to travel in Europe (position requiring frequent international travel)
- Fluent in English and French, Spanish is a strong asset. Additional languages are a plus.
- Ability, when required, to deliver high-quality presentations in English to OneLife's governing bodies, including in particular the Board of Directors
