Armacell is a globally operating company managed from its corporate headquarters in Luxembourg and from regional head offices in Europe, the USA and Singapore. Multiple national teams ensure the appropriate local focus.

Following this framework, the global procurement team manages both centralized and decentralized operations with an annual budget, which ranges from 300 to 400 million euros.

In line with our succession planning, we are seeking a Global Procurement Director whose primary responsibility is overseeing the procurement budget and cultivating a culture of excellence that contributes to the financial and strategic objectives of the company.

Reporting directly to the Chief Strategic Development Officer, the Global Procurement Director represents procurement interests at the executive level and driving alignment with organizational goals.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a background in direct and indirect, operational procurement within the manufacturing industry, preferably in chemicals-related companies.

YOUR TASKS- Establish, lead, and oversee the development of a high-performing global team through targeted recruitment efforts and specialized training, offering strategic direction- Propose, build and deliver the annual Procurement budget (People & Financial Management)- Continuously establish and improve global Procurement processes, deploy and implement them.- Monitor and drive the performance of Procurement through Key Activity Indicators (KAI) and Key Performance indicators (e.g. total budgeted savings, savings per employee, enhancements in terms and conditions, value creation initiatives )- In close partnership with the IT Department, enhance efficiency through the integration of new technologies and digital tools aimed at streamlining processes and providing valuable insights- Integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into procurement practices and define KPIs that measure the effectiveness of ESG integration - to ensure sustainability and ethical considerations are central to decision-making processes- Evaluate, define, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives for both direct and indirect expenditures, covering categories such as raw materials, freight, packaging, as well as various indirect products and services (e.g., IT, MRO, corporate services, etc.)- Enhance procurement terms and conditions to maximize value, mitigate risks, conduct key contract negotiations, and establish negotiation boundaries- Analyse, optimize, and set best practices for the supplier base, managing interactions, resolving disputes, and implementing supplier management strategies, including certification programs, performance reviews, and partnerships

YOUR PROFILE- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field- Minimum 10 years of procurement leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in chemicals-related companies- Proven track record of managing global procurement teams and delivering strategic sourcing initiatives- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and negotiation techniques- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills- Financial acumen and analytical skills- Fluent in English with proficiency in other languages being a plus- Willingness to travel internationally as needed
