Your
Mission:

We are
seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and strategic professional to join
our data governance team. As a Senior Data Governance Officer, you will play a
pivotal role in defining, implementing, and maintaining the organization's data
governance framework. Your work will ensure that data is managed as a valuable
asset, supporting compliance, operational efficiency, and data-driven
decision-making across the enterprise.

Your next challenge:

  • Develop,
    implement, and maintain the data governance framework, policies, and
    standards in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best
    practices.
  • Collaborate
    with data owners, stewards, and business units to define roles,
    responsibilities, and processes for effective data governance.
  • Prepare
    the Data Strategy Committee and ensure proper escalation and
    decision-making on data-related issues.
  • Act
    as gatekeeper on the Business Glossary and Metadata Repository to ensure
    consistency and clarity across definitions, systems and processes.
  • Monitor
    compliance with data governance policies and drive remediation plans where
    gaps are identified.
  • Lead
    initiatives to improve data accountability, ownership, and stewardship
    across the organization.
  • Support
    regulatory and audit requirements by ensuring proper documentation and
    evidence of governance activities.
  • Provide
    training and guidance to stakeholders on data governance principles,
    tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay
    informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory developments
    in data governance and data management.

Your skills: 

  • Master's
    degree in Data Management, Business, Information Systems, Computer
    Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum
    of 5 years' experience in data governance, data management, or regulatory
    compliance within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong
    understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and
    regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS239, GDPR).
  • Excellent
    analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding
    communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and engage
    stakeholders at all levels.
  •  Proven
    ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic
    environment.
  • Proactive
    mindset with a strong sense of ownership; capable of prioritizing and
    driving initiatives under pressure.
  • Familiarity
    with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., MEGA Hopex, Collibra,
    Informatica) and proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI).
