Europe Commercial Communication Specialist



We are looking for a commercial communications specialist to join ArcelorMittal Europe's communications team. Steelmaking in Europe is going through a period of huge change, as the industry tackles the huge challenge of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. And ArcelorMittal Europe is an industry leader in decarbonisation, having set a goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 35% by 2030. This goal and the strategy to achieve it is at the heart of the business' communications, making it an interesting time to join our small, busy team that supports many different functions within ArcelorMittal Europe. 

Main responsibilities

Coordinate & execute commercial communications for four functions within ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products (the largest division within ArcelorMittal Europe): Automotive, Tailored Blanks, Electrical Steels, and Packaging, in close cooperation with the communications manager. Responsibilities include preparation for and execution of industry events and trade fair exhibitions; creating product-specific communications plans; sourcing and drafting marketing materials; working with senior leadership to promote the company's expertise and products to customers and other stakeholders. 

What you'll need 


• In-depth knowledge of the automotive business and proven experience in organizing related customer events and/or trade fair presence, is crucial


• Good interpersonal, verbal & written communication and organizational skills 


• Able to work independently on assigned tasks and responsibilities, while multi-tasking and taking the initiative to look for areas of improvement


• Several years of experience in: 


1. Organising customer events (physical and digital) 

2. Organising participation in trade fairs 

3. Product & solutions launch communication 

4. Competition watch & analysing new trends

5. Liaising with various contributors: communications, R&D, marketing, web & catalogue suppliers, copywriters etc to stay close to the business needs 

6. Developing briefings for various communication actions and coordinate with suppliers 

7. Developing and publishing content for both printed and digital tools (websites, videos, apps etc.) as well as social media Digital communications, to publish and promote content on websites and social media 

8. Evaluating job-related KPIs, analysing the findings and acting upon them by continuously optimizing and adapting the approaches if needed 

9. Building and managing a network of contacts within a large, complex organisation 


Education/qualification: Master's degree in business, marketing or communications

Languages: 



• English (advanced) 


• German and/or Spanish and/or French (preferable)
