For immediate employment, we are looking for a Senior Accountant for a Fixed Term Contract of 1 year (Maternity Leave Replacement)
who will join our dynamic and innovative Accounting Team.
WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the accounting activities of the IHQ, ensuring accurate and well-maintained accounting records.
- Ensure the accuracy of general ledger postings and perform timely reconciliations.
- Support the monthly Group reporting process.
- Prepare and review year end and interim financial statements in accordance with LuxGAAP, including the provision of supporting documentation to external auditors.
- Support the budget preparation process.
- Manage cash positions and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Prepare VAT declarations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support STATEC reporting requirements.
- Liaise with third parties such as tax authorities, banks, and other external stakeholders.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards and tax principles.
- A high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent command of accounting software tools, with experience in SAGE, BOB50, or INFOR considered an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and internal stakeholders.
- A strong eagerness to learn, including a keen interest in artificial intelligence and, ideally, the ability to translate AI knowledge into practical implementation within the finance function.
- Fluency in German and English, with French considered an asset.
