Your Role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Advanced Robotics to lead the development, integration, and scaling of our intelligent robotic systems. In this role, you will manage the robotics team to drive functional excellence and innovation.  
 
Your Responsibilities

• Shape and lead Circu Li-ion's robotics strategy: from research and design to production deployment.
• Lead a team of software engineers including robotics, front end and full-stack engineers. 
• Architect and implement intelligent robotic control systems, leveraging AI, reinforcement learning, and advanced perception models.
• Drive system integration across mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver robotic solutions.
• Write product specifications and drive the overall software design strategy for robotics related products and other software products based on Circu Li-Ion Portfolio
• Collaborate with leadership on long-term technology roadmaps and partner with R&D, product, and manufacturing teams.
• Define and create performance metrics, testing protocols, and safety standards for all robotic solutions to monitor constant advancements 
• Manage supplier relationships for software consultancy and for product development.

• Advanced degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in robotics development within industrial or manufacturing machinery.
• Proven knowledge and experience in Robotic language programming (ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, etc.) 
• Proven knowledge and experience in advanced robotic languages (ROS, ROS2) and proven track record of:
  • Task and path planning for a 6 DoF robot, 2 DoF loading station, bespoke end-effectors in a complex scene with collisions.
  • Maintaining a precise digital twin simulation and implementing a calibration procedure to ensure simulation is in line with reality.
  • Implementation of closed-loop control algorithms in collaboration with our Perception team.
• Strong leadership experience in R&D and product industrialization.
• Proven track record of managing complex integration projects from concept to deployment.
• Passion for technological innovation and a proactive problem-solving approach. 
• Excellent communication skills and a strategic, hands-on mindset.
• Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
