Our client is a Private Equity company operating in the European market. The current portfolio is mainly invested in European countries and targeted business sectors are related to automotive, healthcare, communication and manufacturing. The holding company is based in Germany and a subsidiary (acting as a sub-advisor) is based in Italy. Most of employees are Germany-based and Luxembourg will be the next country to be launched.

We are looking for a “Managing DirectorAsset Management industry” with a significant Financial & Accounting background who will be responsible for the launch and the management of the new office. There will be also another MD - Head of Legal and both will be in charge of setting up the team, hiring and onboarding the new employees in Luxembourg.
- You will be responsible for setting up our client’s company in Luxembourg (“the company”).
- You will collaborate with the other MD - Head of Legal on everything related to tax and regulatory developments.
- You will act as a managing director responsible for the company that provides financial and accounting services for SPVs registered in Luxembourg.
- You will work on setting-up the whole financial and accounting team in Luxembourg, collaborate with colleagues in Germany and also with 3rd party administrators, service providers, external advisors and other stakeholders. Your objective will be to grow the office gradually.
- You will closely work with the head of finance & accounting and the portfolio monitoring team both being based in Germany.
- You will oversee SPVs operations, financial accounts and ensure timely preparation of the annual financial statements.
- You will coordinate the external service providers and you will assist the fund advisor, the AIFM and the fund administrator in external fund audits.
- You will act as a Board Director for the SPVs**.**:

- You will be responsible for the cash and treasury management and will oversee daily transactions and monitor bank balances.
- You will be responsible for the set up / establishment of SVPs
- You will report to the board based in Germany.
- You graduated from a Master level in Finance or Economics.
- You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting related to the investment funds or asset management industry (regulated or non-regulated). An additional background in tax is welcome but is not mandatory.
- You also have experience in an executive or leadership role within the investment management or similar industry.
- You have proven leadership skills and you like to work in a collaborative way.
- You really enjoy working with others and you are an outgoing person.
- You are a decision maker who is able to make people grow and you promote innovative and efficient ways of working.
- You are driven by getting things done and you are motivated by the opportunity to set-up a new business entity.
- You are fluent in German and in English.
