**SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST** to join its team. The vision of ispace is to expand and sustain humanity’s presence in space by developing a lunar economy built on the resources available on the Moon. ispace EUROPE is the regional office of ispace inc., a Japanese space company. We are creating the first lunar resource exploration service by developing ispace’s next generation rover that will prospect for lunar water and other resources. We are a small team, motivated by the challenges of the Lunar Frontier, and determined to achieve the company’s vision.
The Sales & Business Development Specialist is in charge of the commercial and contractual aspects of both bid preparation (including contract negotiations) and management of contracts. A major part of the role is to minimise risk and maximise margin and cash with our customers. You will also be responsible for drafting and qualifying contractual terms and conditions and preparing documents such as Payload Services Agreements, License Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements.
The position is based in Luxembourg and reports the European Business Development Manager. It will closely collaborate with ispace EUROPE’s team members.
**KEY RESPONSABILITIES**:
- Participate in sales activities at the bottom end of the sales funnel where contract negotiations are initiated.
- Participate in biddings, to reply to RFI RFQ and to provide commercial proposals.
- Handle contract negotiations, keeping them going and making sure they come to an end.
- Communicate with our company lawyers during negotiations to ensure control of contract risks and to guarantee transaction quality.
- Contract review and assessment, balance risk, profitability and strategy, to give suggestions to decision makers.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor degree and above, Major in or background with international trade, financing, commercial law, project management, etc.
- At least 6 years of experience in presales and post sales projects
- Experience in an engineering or science-focused business, international contracts and/or bidding is preferred.
- Good at analyzing or summarizing business issues and being proactive in seeking solutions and improving related processes.
- Strong team work and communication skills, can lead a team to achieve project targets.
- Fluent in English and able to use it as working languages. Additional languages such as French, German, Spanish and Japanese would be considered valuable.
