**What will you do**

The position provides excellent opportunity to act as strategic consultant to higher level management and internal stakeholders, play a critical role in country operations planning and consulting as well as

gain experience in the resolution of broad and complex issues which have a major impact on the Johnson Controls business, including business combinations/divestitures and tax planning.

**How you will do it**
Financial & Statutory Reporting:

- Overall review of the legal entities’ statutory financial statements as prepared by the Center of Excellence (COE).
- Training and technical support on statutory finance matters to the LES team.
- Overall coordination of the statutory compliance calendar.
- Support in the implementation of process improvements and technological innovation in the statutory finance processes.
- Implementation of a robust controls environment with process improvement as a core ethos.
- Overall review of the US GAAP vs. Local GAAP bridge (extended trial balance) and relevant adjustments as prepared by the COE.
- Analyze financial data and reconcile General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to Statutory adjustments.
- Review the audited financial statements including footnote disclosures as prepared by the COE.
- Monitor and review analyses and journal entries for investments in affiliates.
- Support the oversight of tax operations in the region.
- Work with Manager/Lead to implement necessary changes through collaboration with business process owners.
- Maintain knowledge of local GAAP and Statutory accounting developments.

Audit Support:

- Overall coordinator of the financial statements audit cycle
- Execution of audit plan, in conjunction with COE’s, external auditors, controllers and all other parties involved.

Projects Initiated by Corporate/Global/Regional Team
- Fully support and coordinate different projects initiated by corporate/global/regional team, e.g. corporate initiatives, process optimization, ERP upgrade, divestiture etc.

**What we look for**
- M aster's degree in Finance or Economics with focus on finance and/or accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in international corporations or in the audit and accounting field.
- Experience in Luxembourg local accounting GAAP is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Self-starter, detail-oriented and proactive with focus on accuracy, in an environment with changing priorities and time constraints.
- Hands on mentality, team player, able to work in a flexible manner.

**Preferred**
- Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
- German, French and/or Luxembourgish
