Head of Operations

The purpose of the Head of Operations role is, together with the other members of the senior leadership team, to lead the day to day client facing activity of the ZEDRA, Luxembourg business ensuring this is aligned to, and promotes, the business’ strategy and culture.

The Head of Operations will work closely with the Managers who run the the team day to day, focusing on the development, maintenance and growth of a portfolio and corporate clients, ensuring high levels of client service, while ensuring adherence to regulatory and legal requirements in order to maintain our licence to operate.

A member of the Luxembourg Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Operations will work closely with other senior colleagues to shape and deliver our ambitious growth plans.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Leadership of an accounting and administration team taking responsibility for client relationships ensuring client service levels are high and that promises are met, acting as primary contact, attending meetings with clients and their advisors
- Direct line management of three Managers leading the funds, accounting and administration teams, providing technical and wider support to the team to provide clear direction, drive performance, engagement, motivation and development of the team and the individuals within it.
- Undertake client and business development activity in conjunction with the Head of Commercial, identifying potential opportunities for new / existing clients and intermediaries, liaising with colleagues in Luxembourg and within the wider ZEDRA Group to ensure structuring and other needs are identified and fulfilled effectively utilising the ZEDRA Group capability as appropriate;
- Accountability for ensuring that policies and procedure is complied with and that fiduciary, legal and regulatory obligations are met driving escalation when necessary;
- Responsibility for the commercial performance of the relationships for which the role holder is responsible ensuring that key performance and risk indicators are met;
- Acting as an authorised signatory, acting as a Manager/Director on selected client boards, and potentially a member of the board of the local operating businesses;
- As a member of the senior leadership team providing demonstrable support for the strategy of the ZEDRA Luxembourg business and the wider ZEDRA Group; and
- Role model ZEDRA’s values and behaviours whilst supporting these in others to ensure focus on, and alignment to, our Mission and Vision;
- Recruitment of additional high-quality team members if required;
**Knowledge & Experience**
- A fully qualified accountant with significant experience of Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS, Expert Compatible ideal.
- Significant expertise in technical funds, corporate, accounting taxation and fiduciary matters;
- In-depth knowledge of legal obligations and compliance regulations and a full understanding of general regulatory principles; and
- Proven track record of dealing with high net worth individuals, corporates and alternative fund managers and their advisors.
- Strong leadership skills are expected and are demonstrated by individual and team development and motivation, driving performance, embracing and driving through change initiatives and by adopting the ZEDRA business culture, values and behaviours;
- Excellent organisational skills, creative but pragmatic approach and the desire to challenge the status quo to drive efficiency and increased performance;
- Build and develop relationships with a reputation for integrity and with the ability to evoke trust and openness in clients, colleagues and intermediaries;
- High level of self-motivation and discipline;
- Strong written, oral and presentational communication skills are critical;
- Ability to use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems / design solutions in complex / sensitive situations;
- Recognised internally and externally as a technical expert and a “thought leader” with deep technical knowledge and understanding of industry theory, developments and initiatives and practical experience within the wealth management / fiduciary industry.
