We are recruiting a

**Legal Adviser (M/F) with focus on financial crime and data protection**:
**The ABBL**

The ABBL is the largest professional association in the financial sector, representing most financial institutions as well as regulated financial intermediaries, law firms, consultancies, auditors, market infrastructures, e-money and payment institutions.

It promotes the sustainable development of regulated, innovative, and responsible banking services in Luxembourg.

**Your position**

**Your tasks**
- Analysis of draft regulations and laws impacting the financial sector in the fields of AML/CFT and data protection
- Preparation of position papers and coordination of advocacy initiatives with respect to the same
- Assistance and information to ABBL members and preparation of industry guidelines within the area of expertise
- Animation, coordination, and follow-up of relevant ABBL workstreams
- Organisation of topical conferences and participation to external events as and when appropriate
- Handling contacts with competent authorities to discuss relevant technical issues
- Participation to external working groups at national and European levels
- Monitoring the obligations of the ABBL as data controller for GDPR purposes and ensuring compliance with respect to the same

**Your profile**
- Master's degree in law, preferably with some specialization in AML/CFT; knowledge of data protection rules is considered an asset
- Relevant professional experience of at least 5 years
- Fluent in English and French (oral and written); knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish is considered an asset
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and writing skills
- Critical thinking
- Good organizational skills, sense of responsibility, autonomy in work
- Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills
