We are looking for a Purchasing Officer Opex/Capex to join the Purchasing team in this role you will negotiate the best purchasing conditions under a total cost of ownership (TCO) approach in respect of the purchasing strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with strategic suppliers to develop strong relationships with them.
- Ensure excellent suppliers’ operational performance (on-time delivery / zero defect).
- On a regular basis, scan the market to identify potential suppliers to work with.
- With the support of the Head of Purchasing, launch and follow-up request for quotations (RFQ) and negotiations as well as participate in the supplier selection process.
- Be involved in new projects where your input will be important when challenging design and/or technology choices.
- Creation and follow-up purchase orders for the parts in your portfolio.
- Support the level of automation of the purchasing process increase in cooperation with the rest of the purchasing team.
- Lead supplier contractualisation process with our strategical suppliers.

**Education**:

- Bachelor or master’ degree in Business (Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations) or Engineering

**Experience**:

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a purchasing position
- First experience in a similar environment

**Behavioural skills**:

- Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and be reliable in delivering work against deadlines.
- Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with business partners across multiple functions.
- Proactive / capacity to take initiative.
- Strong communication skills - both in writing and verbal.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving; logical thinking.
- Pragmatic and hands-on business-driven individual.

**Technical Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of the sourcing process (RFI, RFQ, offer analysis, supplier selection ) and negotiation techniques.
- Interest for technical product/project considerations.
- Strong MS Office skills (e.g. data analysis)
- At ease with any ERP software, (knowledge of FourthShift would be a plus)
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of product and production processes
- MS Suite
- English
