Dealing Platform Transfer Agent Specialist, Assistant Vice President

Permanent Contract

Your Role

We are looking for a Dealing Platform TA Specialist, at AVP level, to join our Dealing_Platform team. You will be responsible for taking a lead role in the management of the Department as well as for directing and planning the department’s activities with a major focus on strategy, change management, resource planning and development (incl. people / team management), client relationship management and risk reduction.

Your Team

You’ll be working within the Dealing_Platform department and directly reporting to the Line Manager, VP level. You will have a reporting line guiding the team during their day-to-day activity, establishing effective collaborative relations with clients, peers and superiors.

Your Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for the efficient day to day running of the group acting as a source of technical expertise
- Exercise operational oversight within the department and make operational decisions, also driving procedural changes to improve performance of related business areas
- Handle and resolve complex or unusual operational and managerial problems
- Ensure that procedures, policies and processes are consistent to so that a high quality service is delivered to the customer
- Ensure benchmark KPI’s are achieved and exceeded where possible and tracked intra month
- Contribute to the development of the organization in terms of financial planning, business strategy, service offerings and policies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Promote risk awareness, assessment and control within the department
- Understand the risk environment within the department and manage appropriately
- Identify and secure resources required by the department
- Set department objectives to ensure the team members are clear about their goals and objectives setting requirements each year
- Perform appraisals, regular 1to1s and ensure appropriate training plans are in place and followed
- Ensure Career Development Plans are in place for all employees within the Team and manage Talent Performance Process within the deadlines
- Create an environment that is flexible and adaptable and be a champion of change
- Have a proactive and focused attitude to work and an ability to constantly meet deadlines

Your Profile
- Degree in Finance or Economics
- At least eight years of Transfer Agency or Financial Services experience
- Extensive operation management experience (at least 3-4 years in a management position)
- Comprehensive procedural, technical and product knowledge of the Transfer Agency
- A strong understanding of Fund Accounting, Custody and Regulatory background to Funds Industry
- Advanced Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Internet)
- Ability to work independently and as part of the Team
- Excellent administrative and business support skills, with the ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- A clear, logical analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving; organization skills for oneself and others; willingness to assume additional tasks in order to share workload within team/department; initiative and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills - Fluent in English
