**Valuation Manager (M/F)**

- As a Valuation Manager, you will be part of the team ensuring the proper valuation of the AIFs managed by Mercer Alternatives. You will be key to the development of the function and will have the opportunity to propose and implement solutions enabling the team to gain in quality and efficiency.

**We will rely on you to**:

- Assess valuation context before initial investment (e.g. review of deal datapack and legal agreements, analysis of reporting basis and timeline );
- Assess quarterly valuation of investments (e.g. reading of financial statements/portfolio updates, benchmarking of valuations, monitoring of investments’ development, interaction with investment teams and external GPs );
- Document valuation assessments, report and/or escalate to reporting line, when required;
- Ensure valuation policies and procedures are properly implemented and updated, when and as needed;
- Communicate with various stakeholders (e.g. other AIFM functions, investors, Mercer group, various authorities, service providers );
- Monitor best market practice and new regulations/guidelines;
- Propose improvements and lead initiatives

**What you need to have**:

- 3-8 years’ experience in valuation and/or corporate finance matters, previous experience in a Big 4 company or any other service providers is considered a plus, with a proven ability to i) value different asset classes (e.g. PE, RE, debt, infrastructure, options, ) and ii) build models and automation tools;
- Master’s degree with professional certifications considered a plus (e.g. CFA, RICS, IRE, ACCA, );
- Knowledge of fund industry, regulatory framework, accounting principles and exposure to any other key AIFM functions considered a plus;
- Self-motivated individual with strong sense of ownership, curiosity and integrity;
- Ability to work independently while consulting/reporting when necessary;
- Ability to multi-task, set/changes priorities with a can-do attitude;
- Ability and willingness to learn and be part of a growing business;
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate matters, propose solutions and obtain answers/approvals from a various set of stakeholders;
- Excellent written and oral language skills in English (French, German, Italian, Luxembourgish and/or any other languages considered a plus);
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and ability to value diverse perspectives;
