FundRock - LRI is currently looking for a Senior Valuation Officer in Luxembourg to support operations in the Valuation department. This is a full-time role that comes with a favourable salary and the opportunity to explore flexible working arrangements. Note: German and English proficiency are required for this role; additional languages are considered an asset.
As a Senior Valuation Officer, you will challenge and validate financial models (including cash flow forecasts, residual values, construction of discount factors, model assumptions) for the valuation of alternative investments with a focus on asset classes like renewable energy, infrastructure, or private debt.
In your first few weeks in this Valuation Officer role, you can expect to:
- Challenge and validate financial models (including cash flow forecasts, residual values, construction of discount factors, model assumptions) for the valuation of alternative investments
- Validate and validate valuation recommendations or valuation reports for asset classes like real estate, private equity or venture capital
- Monitor the funds’ reporting timetables in relation to valuation delivery dates and team deadlines
- Present proposals of valuation decisions to the valuation committee including senior management.

- Background in a quantitative discipline, (mathematics, physics, engineering, econometrics)
- Excellent understanding of mathematical finance, financial modelling skills and investment structure for alternative asset funds
- understanding of the regulatory, valuation and accounting environment in Luxembourg for alternative asset managers (e.g., AIFM Directive resp CDR 231/2013, CSSF 18/698; IPEV guidelines; LuxGaap; IFRS)
- Flexibility and ability to manage various tasks under tight deadlines.
