**Responsibilities**:
The Senior Director Compliance - Luxembourg and Europe is responsible for ensuring that a comprehensive compliance program and related procedures are implemented, monitored and maintained in relation to the Hines AIFM as well as across all investment structures (regulated and non-regulated) in accordance with the Luxembourg and European regulatory framework. This also includes interaction with the CSSF as well as other Luxembourg and relevant European regulatory authorities.

It is envisaged for this role to also hold the responsibility of the Conducting Officer for Compliance and AML for Hines Luxembourg Investment Management Limited (“AIFM”), either immediately or to assume such responsibility within a reasonable timeframe. Part of this role is also to take on the responsibility of the RC for the AIFM, other Hines Mancos and Hines investment vehicles.
- To act as Conducting Officer for Compliance and Anti-Money-Laundering (“CO”) for the AIFM or to act under the oversight of the current CO with a view to assume such responsibility within a reasonable timeframe
- To act as RC for Hines AIFM, other Manco’s as well as (regulated and unregulated) investment vehicles, including presenting all relevant RC reporting to the Conducting Officers and Boards
- To oversee the Hines Compliance Program
- To provide advice to the Conducting Officers and Boards to build risk and compliance awareness
- To provide periodic Compliance reports to the Conducting Officers and Boards and address their questions and comments
- To oversee and continuously enhance a compliance monitoring program for AIFM operations
- To prepare, maintain and monitor the implementation of Compliance and AML/CTF policies and procedures with regards to the operations of the AIFM;
- To monitor and, on a regular basis, to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of measures, policies and procedures put in place and the actions taken to address any deficiencies AIFM’s compliance with its obligations
- To identify compliance risks and assess the potential consequences
- To communicate and exchange with the Risk Manager compliance risks and potential / actual breaches
- To notify the Conducting Officers of the AIFM and the AIFM as well as Fund Boards of compliance breaches and errors as well as mitigation factors
- To prepare and deliver compliance training programmes for Luxembourg employees including those of AIFM branches in Germany and Spain
- To keep up to date with regulatory changes and identify consequences for the operations of Hines Luxembourg or the AIFM including those of AIFM branches in Germany and Spain
- To liaise with regulatory agencies and both internal and external advisors
- To monitor and supervise all compliance related tasks (AML checks, TA tasks, update of procedures etc.) conduct for Luxembourg Compliance, either conducted in Luxembourg or by central Compliance teams in the UK or US

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements include:

- Bachelor’s degree plus five years studies or equivalent
- Eight or more years' “hands-on” experience in a comparable position in the Luxembourg investment management or investment funds industry
- Previous experience as a Conducting Officer Compliance/AML for a Luxembourg AIFM a distinct advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. French, German or Italian beneficial
- Ability to communicate and represent Compliance at senior level, e.g. with Board of Directors for Funds as well as AIFM and Manco’s
- Excellent analytical and flowcharting skills
- Ability to understand regulatory changes and to identify opportunities and risks to Hines operations
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel a distinct advantage
