**The Role**:
The Group Legal & Compliance team of ArcelorMittal is looking for a Global Head of Sustainability and Environment to provide high-quality legal services to several companies of the ArcelorMittal group. Your main responsibility will be to give timely and efficient legal advice to the business regarding environmental, sustainability, and climate issues and strategies.
**The Key Responsibilities**:
- Providing legal support related to environmental, sustainability, and climate issues, strategies, and projects (for European and international issues) of the AM operations and AM's activities in Europe and outside Europe.
- Protecting and defending business interests in dispute resolution scenarios related to environmental, sustainability, and climate change.
- Supplying legal support to corporate departments and committees in charge of sustainability and climate issues.
- Staying up to date on regulatory and legal changes, driving the necessary adaptation of the Company's activities to those legal changes.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders dealing with environmental, sustainability, and climate issues to exchange best practices.
- Developing and delivering legal training to the business and legal teams.
- Representing Legal Affairs in associations, participating and contributing to protect the Company's interests.
- 12+ years in an international law firm and/or as in-house counsel.
- Expertise in European and International Environmental Law (knowledge of the EU ETS, the main international treaties, and EU Legal Instruments related to climate change, waste, energy, etc.).
- The willingness and capability to be a "hands-on" lawyer, to analyze and solve complex legal issues, with a proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach.
- The ability to effectively communicate in an international environment, with various stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and preferably another European language.
