About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Regulatory Compliance and Strategy to join our team at Amazon Europe. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory affairs, with experience in managing complex compliance programs and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including DG Ops and Amazon Classification teams, to identify and mitigate compliance risks;
  • Work closely with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices;
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key carriers and transportation providers to ensure safe and efficient transport of DG;
  • Provide expert guidance and support to employees and business partners on regulatory compliance matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as law, business administration, or environmental science;
  • Proven experience managing regulatory compliance programs, with a focus on hazardous materials and dangerous goods;
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying regulations to support business operations and growth;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in a relevant field;
  • Experience working with international regulations, such as UNECE, CAA, ADR, ICAO, and IMO;
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools, such as classification and labeling systems.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, including a base salary of €120,000 per annum, plus benefits and bonus opportunities.
