Data Integration Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and integrations for our national energy data platform.
You will collaborate with product managers, data architects, and other developers to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions. Your tasks will include developing and optimizing data models and schemas for performance, scalability, and reliability, as well as writing and maintaining complex SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and data transformations.
In addition, you will implement and maintain APIs and data services to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility, and ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of data workflows and systems.
We are looking for a candidate with strong proficiency in Python and Java, including experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot and data processing libraries. You should also have hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and tools such as Kafka, as well as expertise in database systems (SQL and NoSQL), data modelling, and query optimization.
A strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is also essential, as well as experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
