This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional to work in the financial sector, ensuring that investment firms comply with regulatory requirements.
About the Job- The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the compliance of investment firms with prudential reporting and internal control functions.
- They will also collaborate with internal specialists to identify risks faced by these firms.
- Evaluate the regulatory compliance of investment firms based on their reporting and internal control functions.
- Collaborate with internal specialists to assess the risks faced by investment firms.
- Conduct legal research to resolve questions related to the regulatory framework governing investment firms.
- Apply CSSF's legal powers and manage enforcement procedures, including procedural aspects, in relation to investment firms.
- Contribute to AML/CTF supervision aspects in collaboration with internal specialists.
- Participate in the ongoing development of regulatory expertise and handle enquiries related to MiFID regulations.
- You hold a university degree in law (preferably with a focus on financial or economic law) or economics, finance, or management.
- A background in law with a certificate of complementary training in Luxembourg law and judicial training examination is considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in a reputable local law firm, financial sector, audit, or supervisory authority is beneficial.
- You possess good knowledge of the regulatory framework and rules of administrative law applicable to enforcement procedures.
- Bonus points for basic knowledge of financial analysis or data mining.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and synthesis skills are essential.
- Fluency in English and French is required; knowledge of German and Luxembourgish is an asset.
- You have good communication, organizational, and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
- The position comes with a permanent contract as a public employee under the status of civil servant.
- Candidates must submit an extract from the criminal record prior to contract conclusion.
