alternative investments in a complex regulatory environment. Based in Luxembourg, we are a premium
boutique provider of independent fund management services for institutional investors, asset managers, bank
and non-bank lenders.
**Job description**:
As member of our valuation team, you will be performing analytical work both on funds and individual assets,
ensuring the preparation of asset valuations and related reporting for funds under management, our clients
and internal stakeholders. In your day-to-day work you will be in contact with the product management team,
internal and external portfolio managers, as well as interact closely with the risk management and reporting
team. The team you will be joining is dynamic and embraces regulatory challenges to be implemented in the
operational environment, including the role’s following main activities:
- Analyse and categorise financial information for investments, intermediary entities and funds, with focus
on illiquid private equity, private debt and structured instruments in the infrastructure and corporate
market
- Undertake ongoing monitoring of the performance of various private infrastructure and corporate assets
- Perform financial modelling and DCF calculations for both private debt and equity instruments,
supporting valuation processes consistent with IPEV guidelines
- Further develop your existing knowledge of the valuation function, ensuring proficiency in financial
modelling, financial analysis and valuations for assets
- Work alongside third party auditors, external valuation service providers, and portfolio managers
- Liaise closely with internal teams locally and internationally in relation to the investments, providing your
valuations expertise
- Perform timely checks, and produce and deliver valuation analyses to local management and prepare
reports for investors, auditors and regulators
- Support the preparation of relevant documentation for fund board meetings, conducting persons and
our board of directors
- Use and support the maintenance of the company’s proprietary reporting data warehouse
- Liaise internally with other teams, to provide assistance in all valuation matters
- Work on development projects around valuation and overall governance
- Support the follow-up on ad-hoc client requests
**Your profile**:
- Hold a Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in economics, finance or engineering
- Have at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of banking, investment funds, financial
institutions, audit, consulting, private equity firms or similar
- Practical experience in performing financial modelling and DCF calculations
- Ideally understanding of alternative asset classes (renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate, private
debt, loans)
- Knowledge of database management software (Access, Oracle) and supporting computer languages
(Python, SQL, VBA) will be considered as a strong advantage
- Analytical thinking, problem solving skills, curiosity and critical thinking when analysing numbers and
data, combined with an ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Good command of English is expected; knowledge of German is an advantage but not mandatory
