**What you’ll do**:
The Purchasing Manager of Logistics Services manages the commercial relationship with multi-national logistics providers and system integrators analyzing opportunities for Vodafone and developing the commercial/business models that support the Device Operations Logistics Strategy execution across the entire footprint. The role requires strong management skills in the area of procurement with a cross-functional understanding of operations management, logistics, and even information technology.
In this role you will also identify and steer the best terms and conditions with the suppliers, delivering a holistic logistic commercial strategy. You will maintain the commercial relationship with third parties (e.g.,
transportation carriers, warehouse providers, after-sales providers, system integrators, and customization providers) on behalf of the Device Operations Logistics team. You will work closely with the external partners and internally with the Opco Device Operations supply chain teams and different Vodafone Group departments (VGSL, VGE, Group Legal & Finance).

You will:

- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers (transportation carriers, warehouse providers, after-sales providers, system integrators, and customization providers), and source alternative suppliers as required.
- Contract management and compliance including drafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms, resolving disputes in case of contract escalations, and contract administration.
- Ad-hoc financial reporting to monitor supplier spending and support financial reconciliations, auditing invoice versus supplier contract rates.
- Manage bidding/tendering processes by performing cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Propose continuous improvement initiatives/processes to optimize costs and increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of transformational projects according to the project management methodology.

**Who you are**:

- ** Logistics Experience**: Extensive commercial experience in Supply Chain or Logistics; detailed experience in third-party logistics and carriers on the European market and proven expertise in negotiating large contracts for Distribution and After-Sales Processing. Experience working with Logistics Service providers and managing LSP relationships or have been working within LSP.
- ** Procurement Knowledge**:Experience with preparation /leading RFI/RFQ/tenders; knowledge of pricing methods and strategies; in-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- ** Results-oriented**: Hands-on mentality with an operational approach to business challenges and strong delivery capabilities.
- ** Stakeholder Management**: Ability to work in a team with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- ** Influencing Skills**:Good influencing skills
- ** Reasoning Skills**: Strong analytical skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications,
- ** Language**:Fluency in English, and other languages will be welcome.
- ** Education**: Academic degree in business or equivalent industry experience.
