**About the role**
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to be a Compliance Officer for Swiss Re's Reinsurance and Corporate Solutions EMEA businesses and eventually be the Key Function Holder for Compliance for up to two key legal entities. The role is based in Luxembourg, where these two key Swiss Re Reinsurance & Corporate Solution entities are domiciled. You will focus on the monitoring and practical implementation of Luxembourg regulatory requirements relating to Compliance Risks for both reinsurance and commercial lines business. You will also enable the business by providing pragmatic advice on strategic initiatives and mitigating compliance risks.
The goal is that you will eventually act as regulatory appointed Compliance Officer in Luxembourg, including reporting to the local Boards, relevant Committees, and act as the local point of contact for regulators in coordination with Regulatory Risk Management.
In addition, you will:
- Support the development of the Swiss Re Compliance Programme and associated tailored compliance risk mitigation standards for existing, new and changes to regulations including policies, standards, training and communication, with a focus on Anti-Money Laundering;
- Provide enabling guidance to the business with respect to Compliance requirements and implementation of the Compliance Programme, with a particular focus on Luxembourg requirements;
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance to implement new requirements and oversee the implementation;
- Regularly interact with and provide updates to the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA), as our home state regulator;
- Perform Compliance Risk Assessments;
- Support oversight and provide assurance to management and the Board regarding the business' implementation of the Compliance Programme and regulatory developments through regular reporting;
- Develop and deliver training on relevant compliance risks to employees, management and board members;
- Review material outsourcing arrangements and provide confirmation to the CAA;
- Attend meetings and engage with local Luxembourg (re)insurance market associations; and
- Support Global Compliance initiatives by providing input and coordinate with the global team.
**About the Team**
We serve as an enabler and governance function that supports business activities regarding ethical and regulatory compliance so we are involved in a multitude of business topics, provide crucial time-critical advice and constantly look for innovative ideas to deliver effectively. You will be part of the Corporate Solutions Compliance team, but also work closely with the Reinsurance EMEA Compliance team. Both teams are spread throughout the EMEA region with diverse backgrounds
**About You**
You are highly responsible with good analytical skills and can manage multiple activities, prioritise critical needs and deliver on deadlines. You possess high energy, demonstrate curiosity, are an effective communicator and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, always maintaining integrity.
**Education and Experience**
- A diploma of at least four years of higher education in law or economics and three years' professional experience in the field of insurance or reinsurance compliance: OR ten years of professional experience in the field of insurance or reinsurance compliance
- Experience in regulatory interactions with the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA)
- Experience of regulatory issues in respect of anti-money laundering, international trade controls and data protection
- Fluent in English and French, other languages a plus.
