Are you passionate about solving complex problems? Are you looking for a role with foundational impact? Item data quality is the foundation of building a seamless customer experience. Join the Books Item Data Quality (IDQ) team to solve complex catalog quality problems.

In this role, you will own the Books Titleset product work as part of the Books IDQ team. You will develop the PRFAQ and vision, identifying the opportunity and roadmap to create a truly format agnostic experience for books customers. Your work will create a shopping experience free of defects for our customers to find a special edition and easier to find the canonical book that special edition is one of.

Be part of a key effort to improve our customers' experience by tackling and preventing data defects in Amazon's catalog at scale, working with a team of Product Managers, Engineers, and Program Managers. In this role, you will not only own this strategic initiative and the tactical deliverables, but also to bring your innovative ideas and solutions working closely with our internal development team. You will work with several business teams to define strategy and requirements, and lead your development team from design through delivery. You will own the projects delivery and ensure that milestones are being met by proactively identifying and improving process gaps. You will dive deep, collect evidence and analyze data to identify opportunities and refine long and short term goals. You will be working in an agile, fast-paced environment on highly visible and exciting project.

You are highly analytical, organized, able to work independently, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at designing and implementing new processes that scale across our global partners.

Key job responsibilities
- Use understanding of systems and existing technologies to define business and product requirements
- Work cross-functionally with Amazon Central Catalog, Tech, and Books Business Teams to define problem statements and design/implement solutions
- Use data to analyze catalog opportunities and detect anomalies
- Facilitate discussions regarding technical / architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
- Develop detailed project plans, and manage prioritization/trade-offs among customer experience and operational support load
- Proven experience driving long term value in program and/or product management, account relationship management, negotiation, business development, and/or client support
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal groups
- Exceptional organizational and people skills, as well as outstanding strategic and analytical skills, including experience working with data warehousing/SQL
- Proven ability to identify and implement innovative new business ideas and opportunities
