Governance Advisor for Wholesale Banking

Your role & work environment

Based in Luxembourg the Governance Advisor of Corporate Banking Luxembourg, acts as trusted advisor and project manager, running strategic projects, monitoring the progress on achieving objectives, supporting and optimizing the Lux Wholesale organization.

As such you will actively contribute to the development of the Wholesale franchise in Lux on the dimensions Safe & Compliant, Customers, People& Organization and Change management.

On a day-to-day basis this also means prepare meetings and presentations; gather and report high quality information to drive informed decision making; actively propose and contribute to continuous improvements and act as a linking pin with various business units and central departments to enable effective and efficient operations.

Main stakeholders are the different Wholesale Lux departments, WB Group and the other domains of ING Luxembourg. You will report to the Head of Strategy, Control and Support for Wholesale Banking.

Your key responsibilities
- Ensures management reports and control information are put together
- Highlights opportunities and analyses problems detected; follows up on these matters. Suggests and implements improvements for internal business processes
- Prepares, socializes and monitors project plans
- Sets up evaluation strategies and measures of success for every initiative
- Organizes and facilitates planning and working sessions with Shared Operations Leadership Team
- Linking pin with other supporting ING business units and initiates actions
- Provides management and/or control information relating to operations
- Identifies synergies across functions to work through strategic solutions for wider group including but not limited to organizational design, role migrations and financials
- Closely monitors the team’s dynamic plan relating to financials and process migrations, depending on the need, working closely with Local Finance, Shared Operations
- Can act on behalf of the manager and/or LT when the occasion arises
- Optimizes communication within and between business units
- Prepare meetings and presentations
- Steer improvement of Data Quality (focus on financial and risk reporting)
- Streamline, centralise, propose trainings for our WB colleagues
- Key contact for events organization and sponsoring

- Understanding and experience in Wholesale or Business banking is a strong asset;
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Experience in preparing management information and presentations
- To work both independent and as a team member.
- Strong analytical skills and execution capabilities;
- Strong resilience; ability to navigate through ambiguity;
- High level of confidentiality where needed
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
