We are seeking a visionary IT Disaster Recovery Manager to architect and uphold a resilient infrastructure for the EIB Group. This is a unique opportunity to design and innovate disaster recovery strategies and plans for critical IT infrastructure systems.
Step into a role where you're not just responding to crises—you're anticipating and preventing them. As our IT Disaster Recovery Manager, you'll shape strategies, and centralize disaster recovery efforts. In the heart of our IT operations, you'll push forward innovations that will define how we protect and recover our systems and implement frameworks to ensure swift recovery.
Operating Network:
You will report to the Head of Network & Data Centres Unit.
Accountabilities:
Design, develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery strategy and ensure the timely recovery of critical IT systems in the event of a disruption or disasterDesign disaster recovery solutions, including redundancy protocols, aligned with best practices and compliance standardsServe as a go-to-expert for all disaster recovery-related issues in Platform & Services Department and coordinate responses and resolutions in a timely and effective mannerProactively conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses, enhancing our defence mechanismMonitor and analyse IT infrastructure systems to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and provides expert advice on mitigation measures to minimize the risk of disruptionsEducate our teams, sharing best practices in disaster recovery, complete with comprehensive documentationKeep abreast of new technologies and regulations, advocating for continuous advancement of our disaster recovery protocolsQualifications:
University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) in computer science or related disciplinesAt least 5 years of experience in delivery of the IT infrastructure servicesProven track record in IT infrastructure disaster recovery, with good knowledge of technologies and tools, such as backup software, replication solutions, and virtualization technologiesExperience in designing and implementing backup and recovery processes, and redundant systemsBroad understanding of IT infrastructure, IT applications, architecture, and orchestration/ monitoring/ automation toolsDemonstrated ability to deliver under high-stress situations and effectively lead teams through crisis situationsITIL Certification would be an advantageExcellent verbal and written English and/or French language skills and a good command of the otherSource:
