Our client, a pioneer in lunar resource exploration, is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join their team in Luxembourg. As a regional office of our client, we are at the Forefront of developing next-generation lunar rovers to prospect for valuable resources on the moon. This is an exciting chance to contribute to humanity's expansion into space and be part of a dynamic, international team dedicated to achieving our vision.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with space systems engineers, mission control, and data scientists to understand IT requirements for space missions and projects.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to support space operations and data analysis.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, and security of IT systems, including cybersecurity measures.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network components, servers, and Storage systems.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to integrate specialized software and tools into the IT environment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to propose and implement innovative IT solutions for space missions.
  • Contribute to documentation, including system architecture and operational procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of security frameworks and ITIL processes.
  • Work directly with AWS and space agencies in Luxembourg, US, and Japan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
  • Proficiency in database programming and software installation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Prior experience with Azure or AWS cloud deployment & management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in the space industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of French is beneficial but not mandatory.
Preferred skills
  • Scripting skills in Bash, batch, Python, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Understanding of system security and data backup/recovery.
