Local Product Manager Transaction Services

Your role & work environment

The purpose of the local Product Manager function is to make our clients successful by offering them seamlessly integrated Transaction Services (TS) solutions. Products in scope are:

· Payments

· Cash and Liquidity Solutions

· Trade (DocTrade, Guarantees and Working Capital Solutions)

· Digital Channels

The local Product Manager closely liaises with the four corresponding Global TS Product Tribes, within the Global TS organisation, and defines and drives the local strategy and implementation to become a leading and innovative TS network bank in Europe.

The local product manager TS improves products, pricing, processes, documentation and tooling in such a way that internationally operating clients experience ING as One Bank across the entire ING network.

The local Product Manager is responsible to keep the TS products ́safe and secure ́ and has the local asset ownership for all Transaction Services IT assets in scope.

You will share a responsibility with the local TS Sales department to improve ING's TS performance and identify opportunities to better serve and delight our customers. You will keep an eye on the long term perspective. You will translate our ThinkForward strategy and changing customer behavior into business outcomes and ensure you stay on track with the focus on the right priorities. You will proactively anticipate dependencies and collaboration across the entire organization and with the parties that need to contribute to a specific implementation of your business area. You will report the future direction, required capacity and delivery of your business area to overall bank leadership via Quarterly Business Reviews and the yearly Dynamic Plan.

The local Product Manager Transaction Services reports functionally to the Global TS Strategy & Change organisation, and hierarchally to the Local WB Head of Transaction Services.

Your key responsibilities are:

· You are business owner of the Transaction Services solutions. As such you are responsible for designing, developing & operating the solutions for our clients that allows them to stay a step ahead in life and business;

· Offering TS solutions by seamless integration into the value chain of our clients and by connecting it with other internal and external capabilities;

· Ensure seamless customer experience in the full customer journey from pre sales to onboarding to in life.

· Take ownership on risk management and follow the appropriate procedures to assess and mitigate financial risk and non-financial risk while operating simple standardized business processes, in order to protect the organization from undue risks.

· Offering a differentiating customer experience by continuous innovations starting from client centricity;

· Constant focus on cost efficiency in order to be able to compete in the market;

· You strengthen the "ING way of working" while safeguarding the Orange Code as a role model.

· You are active in cross-border interaction between people, tribes, squads and chapters (within and outside your own Product Area).

· You participate in high-performing teams and remove impediments.

· You are accountable for executing risk & control compliancy and mitigation of business and operational risks.

· You maintain contacts with stakeholders within the Wholesale organisation and domestic banks like the Global TS Product Tribes, WB Sales/Coverage organisation etc.

· You maintain contacts with external parties and stakeholders (suppliers, industry experts, consultants, regulators etc

· You play a crucial role in setting priorities within your country

· You are expected to represent ING at various industry forums and conferences (or delegate representation) and to meet clients, both to represent ING on their Product Area as well as collate relevant industry-related trends and information, to be used in the course of carrying out their role

We are looking for:

· Experience and/or affinity with the Transaction Services area, in all four area; Trade, Payments, Channels and Cash & Liquidity

· Proven track record in product, marketing and/or programme management

· Excellent level of English

· An entrepreneur that combines client focus with delivery power

· Ability to display style flexibility to teams and adapt plan, approach and behaviour to the different needs and situations

· Strong organisational sensitivity; ability to understand and take into account the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of both the local organisation as the Global Wholesale Bank.

· Ability to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data; managerial courage to question and make decisions
