Who we are seeking
The ideal candidate will have a pivotal role in shaping the strategy of the Investor Services and AML/FATCA division at AIS, particularly focusing on the Luxembourg hub and supporting EMEA Investor services teams in Ireland and Poland. They will be in charge of ensuring a robust Investor Services and AML control environment is established, policies are adhered to, and clients receive top-notch service. Responsibilities will also include overseeing the operational efficiency, leadership of teams, and maintaining client and investor satisfaction.
In addition to internal operations, the successful candidate will engage with clients during in-person meetings, Due diligence sessions, and sales presentations. Developing local relationships with Senior Management and Compliance teams is crucial for fostering smooth workflows.
Tasks in the Investor AML Services realm involve onboarding processes, Fund and investor identification/verification, AML/FATCA file reviews, sanctions screening, and more. The role requires active participation in audits, remediation projects, and managing AML functions and team dynamics.
- Participating in client-facing activities including Due Diligence Sessions and Regulatory visits
- Representing in Local Risk Committee Meetings
- Managing and leading Investor Services and AML/FATCA teams
- Overseeing onboarding projects and client solutions development
- Establishing effective control measures within operational teams
- Addressing unauthorised Investor AML accounts and risk awareness
- Implementing controls across departments
- Managing direct reports and client portfolios
- Setting and achieving departmental goals
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing and developing local Investor Services/FATCA AML teams' client relationships
- Managing AML statistics and mailbox control
- Leading IS/AML client onboarding projects
- Supporting direct reports on client matters
- Building relationships across departments and teams
- Enhancing AML team relationships with Regulatory and Compliance bodies
- Providing client-focused solutions while adhering to regulations
- Collaborating with internal support functions
- Managing 3rd party relationships
- Ensuring team resourcefulness
- Implementing resource management strategies
- Ensuring team engagement and communication
- Researching new technologies and best practices
- Leading departmental projects
- Managing relationships effectively
Education & Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or Business Related area, or equivalent experience
- AML/Compliance Qualification preferred
- 10 years of Fund Administration experience
- Strong Client Relationship Management experience
- People management with operational teams experience
- Expertise in implementing AML/KYC controls
- Knowledge of industry regulations and practices
- Change management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of Transfer Agency operations
- Positive and Self-motivated leadership
