What we're looking for:

We are looking for a rounded commercial/technical leader to build and lead AUTODOC's sizable, EU-wide Private Brand (PB) Pricing. Reporting to the Director of Pricing (with a strong dotted line into PB Leadership), you will play a key role in managing business growth and margin by making sure that our PB assortment is attractively priced for our customers, and designing and implementing an increasingly automated solution around Private Brand pricing.

In this key role, you will:

  • Define with senior Private Brands business leader our PB Pricing & Profitability strategy to move from an internally focused to a customer-centric algorithmic pricing approach.
  • You will revise and build the endtoend Business Controls around Pricing & Costing.
  • You will guide/influence a crossfunctional team across Product Tech and Data Science, which will develop our AI/ML algorithms and establish a closedloop feedback framework to evaluate its performance.
  • Finally, you will also define the product roadmap for the pricing engine, working with software engineers to design and build key features and internal products.
  • Lead the Private Brand pricing space
  • Own and optimize Private Brand pricing strategies that enable the company to achieve profitability and sales goals while also delighting customers
  • Develop closedloop feedback processes to evaluate the performance
  • Develop a pricing approach that leverages ML/AI and external signals to achieve company profitability and sales goals while also delighting customers
  • Work closely with product teams to build and manage a tech feature roadmap for our pricing engine to implement the strategy
  • Design and implement new processes and metrics for the team to review and track results, course correct and find new features to add
  • Analyze data on sales, costing/profitability, and pricing trends to understand cannibalization across products and brands (Private Brands vs. Non-Private Brands)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of BA or equivalent experience in a business and/or quantitative field (e.g. business, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science)
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication
  • Understanding of statistics and experiment design
  • Advanced SQL capabilities
  • Ability to steer stakeholder effectively both with and without direct authority and find tradeoffs between scope and development time.
  • Ownership thinks and acts like an owner
