The purpose of the Business Controller role is to:
- lead the full budget (by plant/market) cycle in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- be the owner of the new project ROI calculation process, tools, and standards
- be the owner of the margin calculation model
- give the assurance that the turnover reflects the trade agreements
- improve the processes and train the organization
- support the CFO on other topics
This includes especially the following key accountabilities:
- Work closely with the IT department to achieve your general mission
- Define the budget targets by department before the budget cycle
- Present the Budget vs the latest forecast by plant
- Help the Plant Directors to build their cost model assumptions
Output:
budget by customer / product
- Reconcile the Actual P&L by customer with the Actual P&L by plant
- Present the monthly results interacting with the sales & the plant directors to define the action plan and asses the year end reforecast
- Support to Business in preparing their new projects ROI calculations (Busines Cases) & followup on them
- Supervise the sales control process
- Act as a pilot for the cost calculation model, set up and maintain the related system
- Analyze, identify, assess, and follow up cost on saving programs
- Participate to improvement of our risk management
- Support local accounting responsible (stock valuation, cost split, group accounting rules,)
- For every company, implement and improve the procedures for managing and optimizing financial information flows: ensuring their reliability.
Profile:
Higher degree diploma with experience in industrial environment and teamwork.
- Preferably a degree in Business Administration with good technical understanding
- Proven track record in Business Controlling (budgeting, variance analysis and forecasting)
- Good knowledge of accounting standards
- ERP / BI experience (MS Dynamics is a plus)
- English fluent (C.1)
- Project leading capabilities
- Critical thinker with strong communication & presentation skills
- Autonomous, solution oriented and pragmatic approach
- Performs well in a dynamic and changing environment
