Maison Moderne, with its media brands Delano and Paperjam, is the reference for business information in Luxembourg.

These brands gather an international audience with websites, newsletters, magazines and supplements, as well as special issues and live events.

Launched in 2011, Delano has become the reference English-language media in Luxembourg.
Delano's print magazines and website provide economic, financial, political and cultural information on Luxembourg for an international community.

Maison Moderne, the first independent media company in Luxembourg and the publisher of Delano, is recruiting two

FINANCIAL JOURNALISTS (m/w)


with a strong interest in reporting and developing stories on the financial sector in order to develop the Delano brand, both print and digital.


Responsibilities

  • As a journalist you will write quality, original content in English for Delano's quarterly magazine and its website;
  • The articles will be specially related to the financial sector, with a primary focus on Luxembourg;
  • You will also contribute to our daily and thematic newsletters;
  • You will research and develop content that matches the specific requirements of Maison Moderne's media channels and have the opportunity to moderate live events;
  • You will engage in social media management and monitor its performance.

Profile

  • You hold universitylevel qualifications, ideally in journalism, communication, finance, business or economics and already have experience working as a senior journalist;
  • You are a superb journalist with a proven ability to write, edit and conduct indepth research and interviews;
  • You also have a solid understanding of digital communication and social media;
  • You are dynamic, always positive and have a strong ability to propose new content, and creative, fresh ideas.
  • You are a reliable source of proposals on how to innovate and improve the media brand;
  • You love to boost your team and help them to achieve their best;
  • You are able to adapt your writing style to suit different communication channels;
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, can work independently, and are highly organised;
  • You speak and write English at a native level and have good knowledge of French; German and/or Luxembourgish would be considered an advantage.
