In this function, you will advise on all legal and contractual agreements of BDO and monitor that the firm remains compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Responsibilities:
- Day to day line of support for legal, contractual and privacy related issues;
- Draft or review a wide variety of legal and contractual agreements;
- Provide advice on corporate and commercial legal support to management and the different activities;
- Be the contact point for the supervisory authorities;
- Monitor compliance with regulations and laws;
- Participate in risk evaluation;
- Engaging with and providing expert advice to colleagues and other stakeholders regarding intercompany agreements, providers and clients contracts, engagement letters, data processing agreements (DPAs), data sharing agreements (DSAs), data transfers, privacy notices and privacy related legal and compliance queries.
- Managing key processes and statutory registers, including:
- Records of Processing Activity
- Data Subjects Requests
- Reporting of Data Breaches
- Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures;
- Collaborate with providers and clients to ensure compliance with internal practices and eventual transferred data.
Must-have requirements:
If
- You hold a university degree in Law, preferably with appropriate postgraduate legal qualifications;
- You are skilled in commercial/international Law and privacy compliance;
- You possess excellent negotiating and drafting skills combined with good pedagogical communication skills;
- You have 58 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a service provider firm or as an inhouse counsel in an international company;
- You have a proven experience in procurement, commercial contracting, IT/Technology and privacy;
- You are known for your high level of integrity, autonomy and team spirit;
- You have a perfect command of French and a good level in English; German would be considered an advantage;
