Compliance Conducting Officer (AIFM), Luxembourg
Overview
An established international investment platform is hiring a Compliance Conducting Officer to lead its Luxembourg AIFM compliance function. This is a genuinely hands on, founder style mandate; you will be building and shaping the framework almost from the ground up, with real ownership over how compliance is structured as the platform scales, rather than stepping into something already fully established.
What's in it for you
- A true build from scratch opportunity, you will own the compliance function and have real influence over how it's structured, closer to a start up mentality than a mature, process heavy AIFM
- Direct, primary contact with the CSSF from day one, not a supporting role behind someone more senior
- Close, regular interaction with senior stakeholders, investment teams and the Board, not a function operating at arm's length from the business
- Exposure across private credit and private debt strategies specifically, giving you deep specialism in a high growth area of the market
- The chance to build the compliance infrastructure and culture from an early stage, so your decisions genuinely shape the framework rather than maintaining someone else's
- Competitive package, reflective of a senior, ownership level mandate, plus bonus and benefits
The Role
As Compliance Conducting Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as Conducting Officer for Compliance with full ownership of the function
- Serving as the primary point of contact with the CSSF
- Designing, implementing and maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), largely from scratch
- Ensuring the AIFM operates in line with AIFMD and Luxembourg regulatory requirements
- Overseeing delegated activities, including service providers and third parties
- Providing pragmatic compliance advice to internal stakeholders, including investment teams
- Managing regulatory change, including ongoing implementation of new requirements
- Supporting governance through Board and committee reporting
- Contributing to the design of internal policies and infrastructure as the platform continues to build out
This is a hands on role, requiring both strategic oversight and day to day involvement in execution, not a purely advisory or oversight only mandate.
The Platform
- International investment platform with a strong and growing presence across Europe
- Focus on private credit and private debt strategies
- Significant growth ambitions, with plans to scale materially over the coming years
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with close day to day interaction between compliance and the business
- Still building out much of its regulatory and operational infrastructure, offering genuine start up dynamics within an otherwise well backed platform
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with candidates who:
- Are currently an approved Conducting Officer for Compliance within a Luxembourg AIFM
- Have direct experience within private credit or private debt strategies
- Demonstrate a genuinely hands on approach, comfortable operating in a lean, fast moving environment
- Have direct experience building or substantially enhancing a compliance framework or CMP, not just maintaining one already in place
- Are confident and credible engaging with both regulators and senior stakeholders, including at Board and committee level
