We're supporting a leading financial services client in Luxembourg who is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This is a hands-on role supporting the accounting function during a busy operational period, including month-end and year-end closing activities. You'll work closely with the local finance team and take ownership of end-to-end accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage A-Z accounting activities within a banking environment.
- Perform bank, vendor and customer accounting.
- Process and oversee bulk payment activities.
- Support monthly closing and financial reporting.
- Assist with year-end close and preparation of annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
- Support operational stability across the accounting function.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in accounting, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing.
- Hands-on experience across general ledger, AP/AR and bank accounting.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English
