Focus: BMC Helix
Expected Services
The BMC Helix Application Manager is responsible for functional administration, governance, optimization, and continuous improvement of the BMC Helix application landscape. The role ensures the platform supports business and IT service management processes while aligning with organizational objectives and user needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Ownership
- Act as primary functional owner of BMC Helix.
- Define and maintain application roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Ensure capabilities meet operational and service management needs.
- Manage lifecycle and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Customize modules.
- Implement new Service Requests and maintain existing ones.
2. Operations and Support
- Provide Level 2 support.
- Investigate and resolve incidents with platform admins and technical teams.
- Participate in Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis.
- Coordinate escalations with BMC Software and other vendors.
3. Functional Administration
- Manage configurations and settings, with documentation.
- Implement and maintain service catalog.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access.
- Ensure data quality and consistency.
4. Testing and Release Validation
- Define and coordinate UAT.
- Validate new features, configurations, and releases.
- Perform non‑regression tests after updates/upgrades.
5. Reporting and Analytics
- Define and maintain dashboards.
- Monitor usage.
- Produce reports on performance and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
6. Documentation
- Document all configurations and developments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- BMC Helix ITSM
- Smart IT
- Digital Workplace
- CMDB concepts
- Service Catalog Management
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
Conditions
- Teleworking: 1–2 days max (to be discussed).
- Extension possible.
